HIKING-While you are enjoying Canyon Falls Cabin, you will find that Granite Falls offers the best in hiking. Although we are only an hour from Seattle, there are dozens of wonderful hikes for all skill levels, whether you are looking for an easy stroll, a wheel chair accessible walk or a full out hike! More detailed information is provided at the cabin. You can enjoy an easy hike to the year-round Big Four Ice Caves or strike out on a full day backpacking adventure up to Lake 22 for some high altitude fishing.
FISHING-Bring your rod and fish the local creeks or mountain lakes! For lake information stop by Verlot Public Service Center/Ranger Station at 33515 Mtn. Loop Highway (360) 691-7791 and get maps and fishing season schedules.
EXPLORING-Check out the Granite Falls Fish Ladder! Experience the thrill of standing on the edge of the falls, watching the crystal clear water rush over those huge granite boulders from the lookout and check out the 540 foot fish ladder where you can watch the fish make their annual trek UP the falls!
WILDLIFE-With the mountains and rivers there is an abundance of wildlife to see. Eagles are often seen over the cabin, looking for fish in the river for lunch.
